About a few years ago, because i take art as a subject, i had this teacher that has very high expectations on us. So i would spend a lot more time and effort on my drawings then i normally would and then either have no time or neglect studying for the rest of my sujects like math etc.
Then whenever there's a parent teacher meeting i would get called out, because students who failed 2 subjects wll get called out to specially meet our form teachers. Since then whenever she sees me doing art (she walks past my dining table alll the time because i do work there) she would yell at me or lecture me that i should stop doing art.
But then one day during her birthday i drew a caricature of her for her birthday card. Then she told me tht she actually really liked the style of it. She also showed it to her colleagues they said it was nice. since then she started to understand and she let me pursue art even till now
