Influence of technology on Iranian children's literature

This article discusses the influence of technology on Iranian children's literature. It identifies four distinct scenarios that could be described as believable futures. These scenarios emphasize the need to engage audience members and create relevant strategies. In this context, Iranian children's literature could be considered a critical part of a culture-change project, and its importance should not be underestimated. However, some concerns and issues remain.

For instance, in Iran, the internet is one of the primary platforms where children can interact with their elders. Iranian children have adapted to this new world of technology through a variety of means, including video games. Children can learn about these new ways to interact with their elders and learn about their culture by reading Persian books. The influence of technology on Iranian children's literature is widely recognized as a significant factor in cultural exchange.
Influence of Shahnameh of Ferdosi on Iranian children's literature

The Shahnameh of Ferdosi is a famous Persian storybook. Originally written for children, the tale traces the adventures of a hero called Rostam, who leads the reader on a perilous journey through the desert and to Mecca. This work also has many magical and supernatural elements. The book's illustrations are particularly striking. It contains more than 500 images, and is often accompanied by an evocative storyline.

The Shahnameh is composed of ten thousand Persian stories, divided into three parts - myths, historical, and heroism. In these tales, ancient Persian peoples were depicted in historical, mythical, and mythical terms. During this time, the Persian language was undergoing changes as the Arabs invaded Iran. Ferdowsi's Shahnameh re-enacts events from this time in order to re-establish Iranian culture and national pride.
Influence of Iranian folktales on Iranian children's literature

Modernists and intellectuals who grew up during the Constitutional period of Iran, based on European educational models, tried to impose their own criteria on Iranian children's literature. Some of these reformists tried to banish Iranian folktales from the curriculum, while others opted to teach European fables in place of the traditional tales. These efforts, however, were unsuccessful. Iranian children's literature today still contains many traditional tales and stories, but modernists have been more open-minded in their approach.

During the Revolution, some prominent writers of children's books continued to work. One example of this is the work of Fazl-Allah Sobhi Mohtadi, who narrated stories for radio every Friday for twenty years. In 1358 S./1944-68, Mohtadi collected and rewrote folktales for children and published seven volumes in Tehran. These volumes included such popular stories as Hosayn ahani, The Storyteller, and the Story of the Day of the Wolf. His work is also represented by the illustrations by the famous Nojumi and Metqali.
