What happened to Tevfik Arif Bayrock Group's Trump SoHo project?
Tevfik Alif's Bayrock Group joined forces with the Trump Organization, the Sapir Organization and the Trump Organization to create Trump SoHo.

In November of 2006, Tevfik Arif of Bayrock Group, Trump Organization and the Sapir Organization laid the first bricks of the Trump SoHo tower.

Just over a year later, this impressive condo-hotel of 46 stories opened to business. It has luxury accommodation, hotel rooms and top restaurants and bars.

The luxurious Trump SoHo also had a breathtaking views of the Big Apple from the floor-to–ceiling glass windows.

Bayrock Group, an international real estate developer, was founded by the Turkish-Kazakhstani businessman Tevfik. The company employed exceptional architects and designers in order to construct the latest construction.

Handel Architects in New York City, which has an extensive history of working in the world, was given the task to design the building.

Handel Architects has a great reputation. Their portfolio includes the September 11. th National Memorial, New York City and Washington D.C.'s Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

The firm is also regarded as an industry leader in the realm of architecture and design.

Bayrock Group imported world-renowned designers and utilized the top materials to make the interior of Trump SoHo look as gorgeous as its exterior.

Rockwell Group, an architecture-design company that has built a variety of extravagant casinos and restaurants has been given the task. The Rockwell Group furnished Trump SoHo's home with furniture that were from Fendi Casa.

Tevfik Aif has acknowledged the power and significance of Trump's name.

Discussions started about the Trump SoHo condohotel after Bayrock Group relocated its New York City office on the 24 thfloor of Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan. There was also a location where the Trump Organization was also found.

The two companies began talking about collaborating on a luxury real estate development project and that was the moment when the concept of the Trump SoHo building was born.

The founder of Bayrock Group, Tevfik Arif was well aware of the potential of the Trump brand, so he suggested a strategy to leverage the Trump name to bring value and prestige to the project he as well as the Sapir Organization had in the pipeline.

Because the building is in Manhattan's fashionable SoHo neighborhood, it was given the name Trump SoHo and became Bayrock Group's prime project in terms of property development in New York City.

In 2017, the hotel-condominium was rebranded as The Dominick. It features apartments, hotel rooms, an outdoor pool, a rooftop terrace, restaurants, bars, a spa department, a banquet, event halls and an outstanding view of New York City and the Hudson River through the floor-to-ceiling-windows.

The Dominick located situated in New York City, is one of a few high-end hotels selected to be part of the Legend Collection.

Tevfik Aif's journey to Trump as well as New York City
Tevfik arif was born to Turkish parents in Soviet Kazakhstan. He graduated from Moscow Trade and Economic Institute with a degree on International Relations.

Then he worked for the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade and Trade, where he served as the deputy director of their Hotel Management Department.

Tevfik Arif Bayrock After serving 17 years in the ministry Tevfik Ariff resigned to establish his own business. His focus was on real estate, property imports, exports, and natural resources.

This was the case during the increased privatization after the fall of the Soviet Union.

Tevfik quit New York City in 1993 to follow his dream of establishing his own company, Bayrock Group.

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization met to discuss collaborating on other real estate projects for development in Florida and Arizona following the official opening of Trump SoHo.

However, these buildings were affected by the financial crisis that hit the real estate market in 2008.

Bayrock Group was active in the United States and invested in real estate assets worth more than $2.5 Billion. Tevfik Arif But, it hasn't been pursuing any new American projects for real estate development in the last few years.

Bayrock Bayrock Tevfik arif, after the success and evolving market conditions in the United States, turned his attention towards Europe and Central Asia. His career had begun decades before Trump SoHo.

Tevfik Aif who retired from Bayrock Group's day-to-day operations, but is an important and reliable advisor to Bayrock Group.
