He is a god of thunder and tempest, and this card certainly exhibits that energy. Marduk was likewise a talented therapist and magician.</p>

<p class="p__1">Marduk is revealed as a fully grown male, energetically stepping off to battle. (He is striding to the left hand side of the card, which is the past, which is something to think of.) His feet are outfitted in golden shoes, and he wears a red bathrobe, with his sword throughout his waist.</p>

<p class="p__2">In the background we see a double set of golden wings. I discovered this deck easy to work with, even without understanding the "story behind the story" (the story of the god portrayed in each card). I would not advise this deck for somebody who is not acquainted with the fundamentals of Tarot, but as an extra reading deck, or for collectors, this would be a great deck to remember.</p>

<p class="p__3">There are 83 cards instead of the usual 78; there is one extra card in the Major Arcana and 4 extra Court cards within the Minors. Arrows replace the more traditional Swords whilst Disks change the Coins/Pentacles. <p class="p__5">The Babylonian folklore is every bit as complex as the Greek, for instance, and much less familiar. I won't remember all the gods overnight, nor the beasts with whom they do battle, however they are beautifully illustrated on the cards (in a basic style based on ancient Babylonian images found in temples and so on)and explained eloquently and never ever pompously in the book.</p>
