Santiago Montenegro, President of Asofondos The remarks were made by Santiago Montenegro, President of Asofondos during the FIAP International Congress. Montenegro expressed regret for his inability to attend this event as the presidential candidates from all parties will be present on Friday, in Cartagena in the debate on pensions.
"We would be first to want him here and accompany us however I am unable to know why he is absent, since this Congress is the perfect forum to discuss these pension questions," stated the president of Asofondos.
Montenegro stated that during the 1998 presidential campaign of Noemi Sanchez the campaign, he was working with Gustavo Petro (candidate of the Historic Pact) and enjoyed a an excellent working relationship with him.
