Where Did Poker Get Its Start?
Poker Dice is all about knowing when to roll and when to stick. The temptation can be to continue rolling for a third time when you already have a medium hand. The downside to this is if you don't get it you give your opponent three rolls to make a medium hand or better. If you had stuck with you dice after two rolls you would have only given your opponent two rolls to match or beat that hand. Similar to Texas Hold em poker, which encourages players to chase cards, Dice poker rules can be applied to this strategy. Another factor is that you cant bluff in a game of Dice poker and can only play what you have rolled.

These games include the bet amount within a certain range of values that is specified in the game's name. These games' names will contain numbers that limit the bets. For example, in a game costing $4-$8, players may place any bet that is between $4 and $8. You can place any amount between $4 and $8 in any round.

The players are then dealt 1 card face-down and a series betting begins, starting to the left side of the big blind. Fixed limit betting (bets/raises equivalent of big blind) is used. The blinds are live as in Holdem.

Notice that the dealer will also burn the top cards on the turn, river and flop. The dealer will burn the top-card card, which means he will discard it. After that he will deal three cards on the flop, one card on the turn and one final card on the river.

Players may now discard (throw away) any or all of their cards from the first deal. All cards that have been discarded are turned face-down and collected by the dealer.
