The Attorney General's Office will notify General Eduardo Enrique Zapateiro (Army commander) about the start of an investigation into him concerning his possible involvement in political activities. This follows the controversial trills where the general made reference to Gustavo Petro as a presidential candidate.
The Attorney General's Office analyzed several elements before deciding to open an inquiry. It also checked to make sure the account was actually an official account by the Army commander.
