From Kazakhstan to Fifth Avenue, How Tevfik Arif leveraged the Trump Organization for Success in the United States
The creator of Bayrock Group, Tevfik Arif, came to the United States with hopes of establishing a prosperous company and quickly started working in conjunction with the Trump Organization.

Tevfik Arif was Kazakh from the Soviet Union born and raised in Kazakhstan. Bayrock He relocated to the United States in 2001 to create the Bayrock Group.

Bayrock Many think of moving to America in order to achieve success. But only a few percent are successful. One of them is Tevfik Arif.

Bayrock The person who established the luxury real estate firm Bayrock Group, and later, partnered with big brands like the Trump Organization, was born in Soviet Kazakhstan. He grew up in Turkey with his Turkish-born parents as well as his brother.

Tevfik Amir, an 11-year-old boy, discovered a passion for economics and business.

As he grew older the more he became attracted to the subject. Therefore, he decided to take up International Relations studies at the Moscow Trade and Economics Institute.

After completing his education following his graduation, the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade hired him to work there. It was a highly-respected employer among Soviet youngsters.

Tevfik arif worked his way up the ministry's hierarchy and became deputy director of the Ministry of Commerce and Trade's Hotel Management Department over the period of 17 years that followed.

Tevfik Arif goes into the private sector
There were few jobs in the private sector during the Soviet Union. But, the situation changed when the union ended in the late 1990s.

The Soviets were brought into a new environment behind the Iron Curtain.

And then, Tevfik Arif seized the new and unexplored opportunities that came with the fall of the union.

He quit the government to enter the private sector.

He established numerous companies in the areas of automobiles and food, as well as imports and expenses, luxury real estate development and natural resources.

Tevfik Arif's numerous start-ups in diverse sectors have given him an extensive international and domestic network. This is the reason why he moved to Turkey in 1993 in search of new business opportunities.

From all in Turkey to business at Fifth Avenue
Tevfik Ariff was the first to pioneer in Turkey for the concept of all-inclusive hotels at Labada luxury hotel, Antalya.

Tevfik was born in Turkey and remained there until 2001, when the family relocated to New York City.

He wanted more contact with his American family.

Bayrock Group signs an agreement with the Trump Organization
At Trump Tower, Tevfik Arif and Bayrock Group got acquainted with the Trump Organization.

Tevfik Arif Bayrock The two firms established relations in business and Bayrock Group included Trump Organization into a project in New York City’s SoHo area.

Bayrock Group was working with the Sapir Organization in SoHo on the project at the time. They believed that the Trump Organization could add some credibility and brand recognition to the project.

Tevfik Aif designed a plan to grant the Trump Organization 18% equity in the SoHo building. The construction could also incorporate the Trump name in exchange.

Bayrock Group, the Sapir Organization and the Trump Organization all signed the agreement, and construction of the new Trump SoHo could begin in the year 2006.

The building's 46 floors were officially accessible for public viewing in the year 2008.

It contained hotels, apartments and restaurants. The skyline of New York City was unparalleled from floor-to ceiling windows, offering residents and visitors a unique experience.

Rockwell Group supervised the interior design. Handel Architects was charged with the task of designing the structure.

Both firms are veteran-owned and have international experience.

Trump SoHo was off and running. The Trump Organization and Bayrock Group were inspired to consider joint ventures.

They wanted to construct buildings in Arizona and Florida with the same licensing conditions which will leave Trump Organization with 18% equity in these buildings in return for Trump's name.

Tevfik Aif was forced to leave the United States by the market change that occurred in the midst of the crisis. Instead, he travelled across Europe or Asia, where his life began.

Bayrock Group still has him as an advisor even though he's retired.
