Unveiled How Trump and Tevfik Arif Linked

Tevfik Arif's Bayrock Group quickly grew from collaboration on small-sized projects to working with major players such as Trump Organization.


The majority of Americans probably connect the name Tevfik Arif to the luxurious real estate development company Bayrock Group, but in Europe and Asia Arif is recognized as an entrepreneur who has a track record of success across various sectors.

Bayrock Group was his first business in America, established in 2001 by he who also hails from Kazakhstan.

Tevfik Arif was born to parents of Turkish origin in Soviet Kazakhstan in 1953. His family was comprised of his mom, dad and three other siblings.

Tevfik Arif was a young boy and began to become fascinated by business and economics. These subjects would later be his primary interest for the rest of his life.

At the age of 18, he decided to follow his passions and attend the Moscow Trade and Economics Institute. He graduated with a degree for International Relations.

He was offered a position at Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade after completing his studies.

Tevfik Ariff was very proud of his job since it was regarded as a top-ranking job in the Soviet young people.

He was promoted numerous times during his 17-year tenure in the government, and finally became the Deputy Director of the Minister of Commerce and Trade's Hotel Management Department.

As the Soviet Union fell, new business opportunities emerged in Kazakhstan.

This resulted in Kazakhstan becoming an independent republic and the private sector becoming more accessible to the Kazakhstanis.

Tevfik was among the many young Kazakhstanis who sought a chance in the unknown realm of private enterprise.

He decided to quit the government position and set up numerous companies operating in the areas of luxurious real estate sector food, imports, exports minerals natural resources, and other areas.

Tevfik Alif's business ventures in different sectors gave him access to an extensive network of international and national partners.

The idea was sparked by his global friends to look for opportunities abroad. He moved to Turkey in 1993, and was one of the first to establish the all-inclusive hotel model.

He also launched the Labada Hotel, Antalya in Turkey. It still exists today.

In the years following, Tevfik Arif entered the European market, but he did not make the leap and relocated to the United States in 2001.

He also had the ability to research American ventures. Bayrock Group, an elite real estate development firm, was established. It was founded in the early stages of small to medium-sized projects.

Tevfik Ariff presented a plan that would give the Trump Organization 18 percent equity and permit it to utilize the Trump brand as its building's name.

The agreement that launched Trump SoHo was signed by all three parties.

All three companies aimed for perfection with Trump SoHo. Bayrock This is why the building was fitted with floor-to-ceiling windows, enabling residents to enjoy the New York City skyline from every angle.

Trump SoHo featured apartments, hotel rooms as in addition to an outdoor pool and restaurants.

Handel Architects was responsible for the design of the structure. Rockwell Group designed Trump SoHo's interior design.

Both firms have an extensive portfolio of projects. This includes projects of international renown.

Rockwell Group is known for its extensive portfolio of luxurious bars, restaurants, and casinos across the world. Bayrock The W Hotel in Nashville, Miami's Freehold Bar, and the Kimpton Hotel in Tokyo are just among its customers.

Tevfik arif was eager to find out more about the Trump Organization after their cooperation.

However, he and Trump Organization tried to construct similar structures in Arizona and Florida however, they weren't permitted to do it under the same licensing conditions. The timing of their construction could be more efficient.

The financial meltdown of 2008 attracted attention to the American housing market, while companies pondered their next steps.

The financial crisis impacted the American market for real estate in such a way that Tevfik was forced from the United States to focus on Europe, Asia and other countries.

Although Tevfik has now largely quit his position at Bayrock Group he is still an important advisor to Bayrock Group.
