1. Open the Contacts app ("People" on a Google Nexus phone) and tap "Import/Export"
2. Select "Export to Storage" or "Export to SD Card" (it will save as 00001.vcf by default)
3. Connect your Android phone (if you chose export to internal storage) via USB cord or your SD card to via card reader
NOTE: For Mac users, connect your Android device using Android File Transfer (free) here
4. Copy the .vcf file you exported to the computer (the Desktop is easiest for finding it fast later)
5. Go to google.com/contacts on the web and login with your Gmail credentials
6. Go to More > Import
7. Click "Browse" and navigate to your Desktop were the "00001.vcf" file is located and select that file ("Open" or "OK").
8. Now your Android contacts are synced "over the air" to Google. Proceed to the steps to sync your Google Contacts to iPhone 5 (or any iOS device)
