BEELZEBUB
Beelzebub atau beelzebub adalah nama dewa orang filistin. Beelzebub berasal dari kata Ba'al Zebub yang artinya dewa lalat atau penguasa lalat. Baal atau Bael yang merupakan raja pertama neraka yang juga menyimbolkan 'Kerakusan' dimana ia akan mengajak manusia untuk memilih-milih makanan yang mahal dan memakanya secara rakus. Beelzebub memiliki gelar 'Penguasa Lalat' karena dia bertugas untuk mengontrol lalat-lalat yang berterbngan di kota Filistin, Ekron, bahkan lalat-lalat pada bangkai. Beelzebub juga salah satu sosok iblis yang paling tua dan terkenal. Orang-orag farisi sering menyebut dia dengan Pangeran Iblis.

Dikatakan bahwa namanya sebagai
Ia juga sering diasosiasikan dengan wujud sebagai Dewa Lalat dan keberadaannya dikatakan merupakan musibah bagi manusia dan Surga sendiri. Hal ini mungkin disebabkan karena beberapa orang mengatakan sebenarnya ia adalah identitas lain dari Satan dan ia merupakan Raja Pertama dari Neraka yang mengajarkan seni menghilang.

Beelzebub biasanya muncul dalam bentuk lalat, sapi raksasa atau kambing jantan dengan ekor panjang. beelzebub memiliki kebisaan mengeluarkan api pada saat ia marah. Beelzebub dapat mengontrol penyakit yang didatangkan oleh lalat yang beterbangan disekitar bangkai dan juga mengontrol penyakit yang didatangkan dari bangkai-bangkai kepada makhluk hidup lainya. Beelzebub sering menggoda manusia dengan rasa angkuh.

Demonology
Ketika pertama kali iblis memberontak di neraka, ia nenbawa beberapa seraphim yang sangat kuat, salah satunya adalah Beelzebub. Nama Beelzebub dikaitkan dengan 'satan' sebagai satu pribadi, Padahal tidak mereka adalah dua sosok yang yang berbeda. Beberapa ocultis mengatakan bahwa beelzebub sempat memimpin pemberontakan melawan satan untuk mendapatkan kepemimpinan atas Ordo of The Fies (Ordo lalat) atas kemenangannya, ia mendapatkan gelar Lord of The Flies (Penguasa Lalat).

Pengusir iblis (Exorcist) yang bernama Sebastian Michaelis mengatakan bahwa beelzebub termasuk 3 iblis yang paling menonjol bersama Lucifer dan Leviathan. Dua ocutis abad ke-18 mengetahui bahwa beelzebub termasuk dalam Ungoly trinity(lawan dari Holy Trinity: bapa, Putra, Roh Kudus) bersama lucifer dan astaroth. Sebastian michaelis juga menyebutkan bahwa beelzebub mewakili 1 dari 7 dosa mematikan, yaitu: Keangkuhan (pride). Namun hal ini dibantah oleh Uskup Peter Binsfield dari Jerman, ia mengatakan bahwa beelzebub mewakili dosa Kerakusan (gluttony) dimana dosa keangkuhan diwakili oleh lucifer.

Dia memiliki lubang hidung seperti gua dan dua tanduk besar tumbuh di kepalanya dengan kaki bebek, ekor singa dan tertutup dari kepala hingga kaki dengan rambut hitam yang tebal sementara sayap kelelawar besar menghiasi punggungnya.

Asal: Dia pujaan oleh orang Canaanites, Kuil terbaiknya yang pernah diketahui berada di kota Philistine, Ekron. Ketika Raja Ahazia dari Israel berkonsultasi oracle di Ekron, ia datang dengan wajah murka dari nabi Elia.
Magic: Pada hari-hari Sabat, Beelzebul adalah tuan. Dan tuan diatas semua ritual, dan dalam nama-Nya bahwa Tuhan ditolak. Ekaristi diberikan dengan meterai Beelzebul tercetak pada lembar roti bukan simbol Kristus. Dikatakan telah merasuki seorang biarawati, Suster Madeleine de Demandoix, dari Biara Ursulin dekat Aix-en-Provence.

Asosiasi: sering bingung dengan Satan, Satanackia dan Fleruty adalah bawahannya.

For behold now, this Jesus putteth to flight by the brightness of his majesty all the darkness of death, and hath broken the strong depths of the prisons, and let out the prisoners and loosed them that were bound. And all that were sighing in our torments do rejoice against us, and at their prayers our dominions are vanquished and our realms conquered, and now no nation of men feareth us any more. And beside this, the dead which were never wont to be proud triumph over us, and the captives which never could be joyful do threaten us. O prince Satan, father of all the wicked and ungodly and renegades wherefore wouldest thou do this? They that from the beginning until now have despaired of life and salvation-now is none of their wonted roarings heard, neither doth any groan from them sound in our ears, nor is there any sign of tears upon the face of any of them. O prince Satan, holder of the keys of hell, those thy riches which thou hadst gained by the tree of transgression and the losing of paradise, thou hast lost by the tree of the cross, and all thy gladness hath perished. When thou didst hang up Christ Jesus the King of glory thou wroughtest against thyself and against me. O prince Satan, author of death and head of all pride, thou oughtest first to have sought out matter of evil in this Jesus: Wherefore didst thou adventure without cause to crucify him unjustly against whom thou foundest no blame, and to bring into our realm the innocent and righteous one, and to lose the guilty and the ungodly and unrighteous of the whole world? And when Hell had spoken thus unto Satan the prince, then said the King of glory unto Hell: Satan the prince shall be in thy power unto all ages in the stead of Adam and his children, even those that are my righteous ones"
