Simile and Metaphor are figure of speech that compare two things.
Simile=Uses words like as and like to compare two things. it is used for indirect comparisson.
ex: Dreamin for success is like climbing a mountain
Metaphor-Is a direct comparisson in which a word or phrase compares two things without the use of as and like. it often uses the word" is, was, are, were
ex: She is an angel
Figuration language or figures of speech-are words or phrase that possessses a separate meaning from its literal definition.
The purpose of figures of speech is to add richness to writting thats will have an effect on the reader.
Hyperbole-Exaggerate a particular situation or condition, sentences that use hyperboles are called hyperbolic statements
ex: An athlete runs faster than the winds
Her bags weights a ton
Irony-occurs when there's a marked contrast between what is said and what is meant, or between appearance and reality, sentences that use irony are also called ironic statements
ex: The name of the biggest dog is ''tiny''
the students was giving excellent on getting zero in exam
A vehicle was parked right in front of the no parking sign.
