Derek Ryan Smith, the music producer added a touch darkness to his look by wearing black leather shoes.
The singer rounded out his look by wearing a white undershirt and a range of jewelry.
Lavigne was nominated for the Best Alternative Video award for her work on the visuals for her track Love It When You Hate Me.
The song, which was the second single off her latest album Love Sux and featured rapper Blackbear, was released in June.
