Our greatest mistake is that we assume total alignment in each other's expectations but never bother to comprehend our partner's expectations. One thing that we are completely in alignment with our partner on the other hand - he never misses an opportunity to expand the gap between expectations. .... We have not been notified by anyone.
There are many causes of communication issues. They're usually due to our individual personality. People with square personalities are more likely to miscommunicate with those who are liberal, while aggressive personalities will find a hard time aligning expectations with those of passive people. Two kinds of human beings exist. Certain of us fall in the "full-circle" category, which is an individual who is completely self-sufficient and does not feel like needing an accomplice. He needs a partner. Absolutely! It is all true ... But, he will not be able to live without his dream partner until he can find one. When he finds the right one and has found the right one, he'll be able to continue his life with his full circle partner.
The "half-a circle" type is the other aspect of humankind. (No, it's not full-circle that was damaged during the birth). They'll never let go of the idea once they have found their miserable lover. They'll move to physically integrate with their victim to form one joyful circle... and do not allow them to experience the dreadful reality of living shoulder-to-shoulder! The Halves will not relinquish their desire to gaze at each at each other from a distance of zero for the rest. Their desire to become one with their other half and make a complete unit can only be fulfilled by something less intimate.

An interesting observation among the kinds is the way they choose to part ways with their partner. The full circle will typically be able to let go of an individual he no longer has his chemistry with. The 'half-a-circle' types, on the other hand will redefine the meaning of having mutual chemistry with their companions and say 'I'm hanging on to this B..ST..RD until I can replace him with a proper upgrade'.
Imagine the amazing dance that happens when two people in a "half" and "full" circle try to be their counterparts. They are not aware of their distinctions. The Half makes two leaps in the air, way from the comfort space of the Full, who considers the sudden intrusion into his personal space too scary. So he fixes this zone-invasion-problem by making a gentle step backward. The problem is that he has stepped out of his comfort zone .... and while the Half was sure the Full had made an error that was innocent, the Half begins getting frustrated and takes another step forward. They don't know why, but they lack proper terminology and don't know how to explain the situation. They go to the wrong place. They could have been spared if they had known that the answer they're searching for is Half and the other one is full.
There isn't a single conclusion to this essay , but there are some actions items:
1. Learn who you are
2. Find out about your friend
3. Recognize the difference.
