Venture Capital, Thoughts and Much Less - Rami Beracha

Rami Beracha's blog about the venture capital industry. Rami is also Co-Founder of Sosa.
The issue of miscommunication is very serious. It's a danger zone and is entirely our responsibility. It's a matter of seconds after the first encounter with someone, and culminates in an incredible explosion...
The most common mistake we make is to believe that we're in complete alignment in our expectations of each other and not trying to guess what our partner's expectations are of us. We're almost always fully in agreement with our partner except for one thing : he doesn’t take advantage of the opportunity to widen this expectation gap . We don't require anyone to alert us of the coming conflict.
There are many potential causes of miscommunication. Many of them stem from the differences in our personalities. People with square personalities are more likely to not communicate with those who are liberal. People who are aggressive will have trouble aligning their expectations and those of passive individuals. This isn't difficult to spot - we know squared from liberal, and aggressive from passive.
Imagine if they were very different? You can imagine that there is a personality gap between them however, we aren't aware about it. It has never been discovered or been warned of or studied it. !
Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you all to a different type of personality: The FULL versus the Half Circle personality! !
It is a guide to behavior. If you go through the following article attempt to determine the personality that best describes you. Also, try to identify your partner in real life. If you realize that you're distinct personalities - just like Bono says, "we can be one, but not the same", - you should be very happy as you may have identified the root-cause behind many of your differences. If you're the same like me, I'm sorry, but I'm not able to help you understand why your relationships seem awfully terrible.

So, here we go...
Humans can be divided into two groups. Some people are 'full-circle', which is a self-contained individual who feels perfectly at home being all by his own. It's true that he wants to be with someone, and yes, he's always seeking one. Absolutely! It's all true ... But, he can survive without a dream partner until he gets it. He is determined to spend his entire life with his beloved, and he is hopeful to be able to complete his circle.

Others are the "half-acircle" kind of people. They'll never let go of the idea once they've found their unhappy companion. To form a happy circle, they will nearly join with the victim... however, do not let them go through the thing of living side-by-side! The Halves will not compromise on their desire to gaze at each one from a distance of zero for the rest. They won't compromise on something less intimate to fulfill their desire to join with their other half to make up a whole.

A notable difference between the two is the decision to let go of a partner. The whole circle tends to let go quickly of the person they've lost chemistry. The half-circle's on the other side will redefine the notion of having the same chemistry' as their partners to mean: 'I'm holding onto this B..ST..RD. until I am able to replace him in a proper manner'.
Imagine the incredible dance between the "half-a circle" and a full-circle. So he fixes this zone-invasion-problem by making a gentle step backward. Problem is, he made the Half step out of his familiar zone ...... The Half realizes that the Full made an innocent mistake, so they take another step backwards.. However, the Half quickly gets angry and starts to make an even bigger and more aggressive step.. They know why but for the lack of proper language and the inability to properly describe their frustration and go to the wrong direction! The victims could have been saved had they known that the answer they're looking for is Half while the other is fully.
While there isn't any one answer, there are many options to take.
1. Find out who you are.

2. Find out more about your friend
3. Recognize that there is a distinction.

3. Respect different opinions!
One conclusion is: Live and let live.
