The Midas Story Revisited
King Midas made some sort of wish that every thing he touched would likely turn to yellow metal. The wish had been granted him using bitter irony: he touched his little girl whom he cherished greater than his living and he or she turned into solid gold-flesh switched stone.

We may say that the meaningful of the tale is obvious-it teaches us that there is more to our lives than greed and this making a want for money could have dire implications. Most of us all are consoled simply by this simple grayscale configuration of like and greed. Wanting for love is good. Wishing for money is bad.

But I consider the storyline begs in order to be looked over in a different way, especially in this point in time when "think and you will receive" is getting a growing number of aligned with universal truth. What if King Midas' failing lies not inside his wishing intended for gold, but within his inability to see that platinum can include take pleasure in, goodwill, happiness plus family as properly. He could not see that abundance comes in many kinds, one of which usually is gold and that very generally money flows in order to us together together with the joy and meaningfulness of interactions. His mistake isn't that he made a choose to gold, but that he did not desire for more. His / her wish had not been huge enough to include the magnificence in the universe.
