It's a big problem when people don't understand. It's almost like a minefield. It begins seconds after making contact and culminates in an amazing explosion...
The biggest error we make is to think that we're in complete alignment in our expectations of each side without trying to guess what our partner's expectations are of us. But there's one thing we can almost always agree on: he doesn't miss the chance ....to widen the expectation gap And there is no one on the planet to warn us of the coming confrontation.

There are a variety of possible causes of miscommunication. The majority of them are caused by the differences in our personalities. Square personalities are more likely to miscommunicate than liberal individuals, and people who are aggressive might have trouble in coordinating their expectations with those of passive individuals. This is easy to see that squared personalities can be distinguished from liberal, while aggressive can be distinguished from passive.
What if they're completely different? They'll never be aware of it. You can imagine that there is a personality gap between them yet we do not know about it. It's never been discovered or reported on or even investigated by anyone. !
Let me introduce you ladies and gentlemen to a new type personality we all share: the FULL CIRCLE personalities versus those of the HALF-CIRCLE individuals. !

Two categories of human beings are referred to as being human. Certain of us are divided into two categories one of which is self-contained and others feel totally at ease in their own space. Yes, he needs a partner, yes there is a need for a partner and yes he is in perpetual search of the right partner. Absolutely! All true ... He is still able to survive without the perfect partner. Once he has found the person of his dreams, he wants to live his life shoulder-to-shoulder with his hopefully complete circle of friends.
The "half-a circle" type is the other aspect of humankind. (No it's not a the full-circle type that was damaged in the birth). And once they have found the miserable creature, THEY DO NOT LET GO! They will attempt to live with the victim as if were one of them and will not let go of the idea of living together. The Halves will not give up anything less than starring one at the opposite from a distance of a single pixel throughout their lives. Nothing less intimate will fulfill their desire to be integrated with one another and form a whole.

An interesting observation in these two types: the choice to let a relationship go. Someone who has lost chemistry with the whole circle will be let go in a natural way by the entire circle. Half-circles on the other hand redefine the notion of having chemistry' with their partners to be: 'I'm hanging the B..ST..RD. Until I can replace him properly'.

Imagine a dance in which two half-circles and a complete circle are trying to make their partner happy. The Half is able to move two steps ahead of the comfort zone. The sudden invasion of his private space can be somewhat daunting. So he fixes this zone-invasion-problem by making a gentle step backward. Only problem is that by that he pushed the Half out of his comfort zone. When .... the Half is convinced that the Full made an innocent mistake and kindly compensate with another step forward, the Full starts to get angry and take a further, more significant step to the back.. The Half starts to think that there is nothing innocent about what's going on this time and his next move is not at all gentle.. The Full.. The Half.. the Half and the Full are pissed of off each other. They understand the reason, but since they don't know the proper terminology they can't adequately explain their rage and go to the wrong places. It could have saved their lives if they understood the difference between Half and Full.
