Avanos Medical and the FDA have issued a Class 1 recall of 629 units of the CORTRAK*2 Enteral Access System, a feeding tube placement device connected to numerous fatalities and injuries.
The recall devices were made available beginning on April 1 from 2016 to January 1, 2022. They're used to assist healthcare professionals insert feeding tubes in the stomach or the intestines of patients.
Cortrak 2 eternal access system Nasogastric or Nasoenteric tubes which were improperly placed on the market have led to more than 60 injuries and 23 deaths reports since 2015.
