The phrase, "The people who smile the brightest are the saddest one." really applies to her. As she had been crying too much, she forgot how to shed a tear, and that was why she's cheerful all the time.

Rhea was born from Alice users parents, and she inherited her father's alice.

She heard stories from her mother, about how gentle her father used to be, his romantic words that made her mother fell for him, and his kindness that always warms her heart. Little Rhea would never believe her mother. All she knew about her father was that he was a drunken man who likes hitting on his wife and child.

She used to cry, of course, but as she grown older, she realized that crying would only lead to more beating. And that was why she stopped to cry to the point of forgetting how to shed a tear.

Rhea had never felt love for the man known as her father. All she cared for was her mother. But when one day a criminal broke in her house, searching for her as he had heard rumors about her fire alice, and killed her parents in front of her, she couldn't help but cry as breaths left his father's body, and as her mother's soul left her alone. Her house was set on fire and she was blamed for it, because she refused to cooperate and tried to burn the criminal instead. And as she was the only witness, no one would believe her words, thinking that it was just an excuse from her.

Her uncle took pity on her, believing she was innocent. But like her parents, he was killed by people who were after her fire alice, and blamed it all on her.

And from then on, Rhea lived at an orphanage. None of her relatives would take her in, thinking that she was a murderer, but not once was smile left her face, as she once more forgotten to cry.

Crying is useless, or so she says. She had learnt that crying won't give anything back. How she wished she had time-traveler alice rather than her cursed fire alice.
