Klasifikasi Kementrian Sihir (KKM)
Kementrian sihir memiliki Departemen Pengaturan dan Pengawasan terhadap Makhluk Gaib. Kementrian sihir telah mengklasifikasikan makhluk kedalam kelompok yang berbeda yaitu Beast (Hewan), Being (Makhluk) dan Spirit (Roh). Adapum maksudnya yaitu :
--Beast : Makhluk yang susah untuk dikendalikan. Seperti monster.
– Being : Makhluk hidup biasa yaitu makhluk yang tidak berbahaya dan muggle mungkin ada yang mengetahuinya.
– Spirit : Makhluk supernatural yaitu makhluk yang ajaib yang tidam bisa di nalar oleh logika tetapi ada.
Departemen Pengaturan dan Pengawasan Makhluk Gaib juga memberi klasifikasi pada semua makhluk yang ada. Klasifikasi ini merupakan petunjuk terhadap tingkat bahaya setiap makhluk. Agar penyihir mengetahui tingkat bahaya makhluk itu sehingga tidak salah dalam menanganinya.
– X : hewan yang membosankan biasanya terkesan imut dan tidak berbahaya. Contoh : horklump
– XX : hewan yang tidak berbahaya dan bisa dipelihara artinya tidak menimbulkan bahaya atau kerugian untuk penyihir.contoh : puffskein
– XXX : hewan masih dapat ditangani oleh penyihir tetapi jarang di pelihara. Contoh : plimpy
– XXXX : hewan yang hanya dapat ditangani oleh penyihir yang terlatih. Penyihir yang cakap dan mampu mengendalikan hewan ini. Contoh : troll
– XXXXX : hewan yang dikenal dapat membunuh penyihir, dan sangat berbahaya untuk didekati tidak mungkin ada penyihir yang bisa melatihnya menjadi hewan peliharaan kecuali penyihir yang benar benar hebat atau penyihir yang nekat. Contoh : basilisk
