You have to know that Nidal M Boutros is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and is a participant in the Medicare Physician Quality Reporting System Incentive Program. You might also want to know his affiliation with the American Academy of Family Physicians, which is also included in his PQRS profile. However, if you want to find out more about him, you can read on further.
Nidal M Boutros is a participant in the Medicare Physician Quality Reporting Program (PQRS) Incentive Program
Dr. Nidal M Boutros is an internist in Overland Park, Kansas. He is affiliated with Menorah Medical Center. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Tichreen Faculty of Medicine in Sudan. Internists are physicians who perform general physical exams and treat a range of common adult illnesses. Approximately one-fourth of all physicians are internists, and many of them specialize in a particular subspecialty. However, before choosing an internist, it is important to verify your insurance coverage and determine whether the doctor is board certified in the specialty.
He participates in the Medicare Physician Quality Reporting Program (PQRS) Incentive Program
In order to receive payment for submitting quality data, doctors must be in compliance with certain requirements. The program was established in 2006 under the Tax Relief and Health Care Act. The program's original structure allowed for a 1.5% incentive payment to be distributed to participating providers. However, the TRHCA placed a cap on these payments. The 2007 Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act made the PQRS program permanent and lifted the cap on payments. In 2008, the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act expanded PQRS to a permanent program and increased the incentive payment to 2% of total allowed charges. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) implemented penalties for not reporting quality data.
The program requires clinical psychologists to have national provider identifiers (NPIs) and to be enrolled in the Medicare PECOS system. After enrolling in the program, doctors may report their quality measure data to one or more PQRS registries. These registries then report the information to CMS. Participating registries must meet certain criteria, including safe data transmission and feedback for practitioners.
Nidalm participates in the Medicare physician quality reporting program incentive program to provide quality care to patients. In addition to providing quality care to Medicare beneficiaries, the PQRS program allows doctors to receive financial incentives for reporting quality data. The reported beneficiaries are slightly older than non-reported beneficiaries. They are also more likely to be White, non-Hispanic, and dually enrolled in Medicare and Medicaid.
He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians
The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) is an association of medical specialists that promotes high standards of family medicine. Founded in 1947, the organization is headquartered in Leawood, Kansas, with 136,700 members in all 50 states and overseas. The Academy was instrumental in establishing family medicine as the 20th primary medical specialty in 1969, when the American Board of Medical Specialties granted approval for its certification. The AAFP supports the importance of providing comprehensive health care to families, and the importance of educating all physicians in this field.
