How To Play Minecraft (Beginner's Guide)

In contrast to normal video games, Minecraft allows you to be in control of the game, and it also has the ability to allow players to be moderators, and to build their own coding/modding directly into the game!



Logging in and accessing the main menu

SinglePlayer: Start or stop a game that is basic. This article explains how to start an SinglePlayer game.



MultiPlayer: Connect to other players online



Languages: You can alter the language used by Minecraft's text. Use the tiny button just left of the Options button, to display a speech bubble containing the globe.



- Options: Manage game settings such as sound, graphics and mouse controls, difficulty levels, and general settings.



Quit Game: Close the window, unless you're using In-Browser mode.



Start your first game in SinglePlayer mode.



1. To see a complete list of all worlds, click the SinglePlayer button



This list is not required for those who are just beginning Minecraft.



2. To create a new game click the Create New World button.



The Create New World page appears.



3. In the World Name text box, enter the name you like and then click the Create New World button at the bottom of the screen.



When you enable cheats in games, it will increase or decrease the difficulty level when you play, and also shifts between Creative mode and Adventure mode. Cheats give you more control over the game's environment, especially if you're only beginning.



When you finish creating your world, the game automatically starts by generating the world and placing your avatar (character) in it.



Selecting the right game mode in Minecraft



Survival The players are randomly spawned in new worlds and must survive by accumulating materials, constructing shelter, gaining experience and battling hostile mobs. Creative The game mode allows players to immediately access almost all items and blocks as well as be immune to death, and can fly. This game mode lets players to create and design unique worlds. Adventure - players interact with objects (levers buttons, levers) and mobs to complete an adventure. Spectator - invisible to all and cannot interact blocks, entities, or your own inventory. This mode is generally used to watch other players' created worlds. Hardcore - Similar to survival mode, Hardcore is permanently set to the "hard” difficulty level and players cannot come back.
