We're back with The Anfield Talk podcast (TATPod) during the international break. Ben is joined by Jamie and Conor to talk about the recent FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest, which means Liverpool will now face Manchester City in the semi-finals. We also take a look at the team's recent UCL and league performances. Listen in to find out what the guys think of the latest happenings at Anfield.
Liverpool's summer business
The Reds' summer business has been strangely quiet, but the club did manage to bring in a handful of quality players. Among the new arrivals are defenders Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez. The latter two have signed until pre-season training, and the former was a shock signing for Klopp. This summer's business has also brought in a number of outgoing deals, including that of midfielder James Milner.
Sadio Mane's move to Bayern Munich
It looks like Sadio Mane has completed his move to Germany from Liverpool, with a reported fee of up to EUR42 million. The striker spent six years in Merseyside, scoring 120 goals and providing 38 assists for Liverpool. During this time, he has become a club legend, with Jurgen Klopp calling him "the right club at the right time."
Naby Keita's future at Anfield
Like many of Liverpool's players, Naby Keita has had his ups and downs at Anfield. Although his quality hasn't quite lived up to expectations, he has shown what potential he has understood his role in the side. It's hard to know where his future lies at the club, though. There are many reasons he should stay. Below, we look at the pros and cons of the Algerian's future at Liverpool.
Fabio Carvalho
Liverpool are reportedly keen to sign Fulham attacking midfielder Joao Carvalho. The Brazilian, who scored 18 Premier League goals last season, had a plethora of transfer rumours circulating this season. Fulham manager Marco Silva was adamant he wouldn't sell the talented player mid-season. However, Liverpool completed their domestic season the day after Fulham finished theirs.
Raphinha
It is rumoured that Liverpool are considering a move for Moroccan striker Raphinha. Although he has only signed a one-year contract with the Reds, the Frenchman could be the perfect replacement for Mohamed Salah. Liverpool have had a difficult season, but he would be a good addition. And, if he is available, he would be a good fit under Jurgen Klopp.
Naby Keita
Jurgen Klopp has hinted that he is open to renewing the contract of his midfielder Naby Keita, although the situation is still fluid. Keita has endured several injury problems since joining Liverpool. While it was Klopp's highest-ever fee for a player, his contract runs until the summer of 2023. He is not expected to replace Fabinho, Thiago, or Jordan Henderson, but Klopp has indicated that he likes him.
Mohamed Salah
Liverpool's Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah is rarely interviewed by the British media, so this is a very rare opportunity for him to speak about his future. This season, however, he has been stealing headlines and grabbing attention for all the right reasons. Having returned 30 goals for Liverpool, Salah has been one of the standout performers at Anfield, and contract talks have raged. But how does he feel about his future?
Diogo Jota
Diogo Jota and The Ancelainment is an interview series involving the Reds' new striker. The Portuguese international is currently out with a hamstring injury and Liverpool are 'accelerating discussions' with the relevant parties to keep him at the club beyond the end of the current season. Liverpool have recently signed Egyptian star Mohamed Salah on a new contract and Jota could soon be left playing catch-up with Salah.
