The Anfield Talk - Liverpool's Transfer Business Over The Summer
In this week's episode of The Anfield Talk , we discuss Liverpool's business over the summer. We look at Sadio Mane's departure to Bayern Munich, the arrival of Fabio Carvalho and the future of Tyler Morton at Anfield. Plus, we discuss whether we should believe the latest reports about Tyler Morton's future at Anfield. You can listen to this episode of The Anfield Talk below or read our previous articles.

Liverpool's summer business

This summer's transfer business was strange. Liverpool have already signed three players for over ten million pounds, including midfielder Daniel Sturridge and left-back Fabio Carvalho. However, the club may still fail to secure the services of other players they want, including midfielder Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. The club could also end the summer transfer window with no players at all. But a few things are clear.

Sadio Mane left to join Bayern Munich, while Takumi Minamino signed for Monaco. Divock Origi has also left, while Darwin Nunez arrived from Benfica. Meanwhile, a deal for the Spanish winger is expected to cost at least PS85m, including add-ons. The deal for Ramsey could cost a further PS21m, but it is a good one for Liverpool.

Sadio Mane's departure to Bayern Munich

The transfer of Sadio Mane from Liverpool to Bayern Munich has been completed, bringing an end to a month of speculation. The winger, who has spent the last six seasons with the Reds, had been non-committal about his future at Anfield, but he has been linked with Bayern ever since he lost the UEFA Champions League final against Juventus last May. He had been in talks with the club over a contract extension, but talks had cooled and it was only the loss of the match that made the transfer possible. As a result, the media started to ask about Sadio's future, and the news of the transfer has been widely welcomed.

According to Liverpool's official website, Mane's departure is not surprising. His contract expired next summer, but he was determined to move to a top European club. His desire to play for Bayern Munich was so great that he left Liverpool for a move to Germany. The news that he is moving to Germany has been met with widespread reaction, and his future is now unknown. With so many options available to him, the striker has the ability to go where he wants.

Fabio Carvalho's arrival

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Fabio Carvalho from Fulham. The Portuguese striker was a key part of the club's promotion to the Premier League last season, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists. He made his U21 debut in March and had previously represented England's youth side. The move to Anfield will provide Liverpool with a fresh face in the forward line, as Divock Origi has not played enough games to trigger a contract extension.

The Argentine's signing was welcomed by fans and was met with excitement. The new Liverpool captain is a strong attacking threat who can play in many different positions. Klopp has also made it clear that he will try to temper expectations when he arrives at the club. He added: "It's a great feeling to join Liverpool."

Tyler Morton's future at Anfield

There are many rumors about Tyler Morton's future at Liverpool, but the truth is that the midfielder's future isn't that bright. Jurgen Klopp recently reminded Liverpool fans that the club will not sign any midfielders in the summer. But he is also happy with the current midfield options. That is good news for the youngster, who is expected to grow into a key part of the Liverpool team.

While he won't be making regular appearances in the Premier League this season, he will be playing a vital role in Liverpool's last Champions League group stage match against AC Milan. If Morton continues to improve, his future at the club is assured. But will he be able to maintain that form? The answer may surprise you. In the meantime, we'll have to wait and see.

Xherdan Shaqiri's future at Chicago Fire

With a fee of around $7 million, Xherdan Shaqiri has signed with the Chicago Fire. The Swiss international has won 17 major trophies during his career, including two UEFA Champions Leagues and a FIFA Club World Cup. Shaqiri will wear the number 10 shirt for the Fire. But what does his future at the Fire look like?

Olympique Lyonnais have granted Xherdan Shaqiri permission to begin talks with MLS club Chicago. He began the season as a regular for the Ligue 1 side after joining the club in the summer of 2015. But, since October, Shaqiri has only played four times for the team. He has made 11 league appearances and appeared in three European Championships.

Naby Keita's future at Anfield

The Frenchman's form has been hailed by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. The record signing for the club in 2017 has made 76 Premier League appearances in four seasons, scoring four goals and providing three assists. Although he has only made four Premier League starts this season, Keita's future remains bright. This is especially true with the club struggling to sign players with quality, so Keita has a bright future at Anfield.

A move for Keita is now in the hands of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. However, the player's contract expires in 12 months, and the club will be unwilling to lose him for nothing in the summer of 2023. Klopp has been in talks with the midfielder and he may have a decision to make soon. Klopp has reportedly also been linked with a move for Liverpool midfielder Jude Bellingham.
