Middle-click can also Place Blocks Weirdly Enough

The first version, which was launched on December 2, 2009, was more limited than any other edition of Minecraft ever released to the public, which included the pre-classic version available through the Minecraft Launcher. A new version was released on December 4, 2009, altered the controls and added broadscreen, more blocks and the ability to put and destroy blocks. [2]

In November 2014, the initial page hosting the game was deleted. Its archive can still be accessible via the Wayback Machine. The executable can also be accessed through the Internet Archive.

Notch released the JavaScript version Minecraft 4k on December 2 2012. This version isn't capable of moving or looking around but the camera or the world can move on its own. There is also a blue water-like block that can be added to the other kinds of blocks. [3]

Gameplay[]

General[]

The player is able to place and destroy blocks. The only block that a player can put in is grass. This is reminiscent of the very first constructions.

Minecraft

internally called RubyDung that are available from the

Minecraft Launcher

. Leaves do not decay.

World[]

Every time the game loads, the same 64x64x63 block universe is generated. There are only two blocks in the game which are: air, grass block dirt block, stone, bricks and bricks. No mobs exist.

The game's first build uses one type of block. It uses a XOR Fractal texture.

A wall of invisible walls surrounds the world, preventing the player from fleeing as in invisible bedrock or an old world.

Controls[]

The player can move with the standard WASD controls as also jumping using Space.

Controls for left- and right-clicking are different from traditional Minecraft controls; left-click places blocks and right-click destroys them. Middle-clicks can also place blocks in a strange way. The camera is "smoothly" turned on by moving the mouse, similar to pressing F8 in Java Edition. This version cannot be modified.

The camera behaves differently than Minecrafts. The camera only moves when the player moves the cursor at a far away from the center of the game's viewport. Blocks in the world are chosen by the cursor, and not than the center of the viewport.

The game lacks any sort of menu of options or HUD.

Graphics[]

Since the game renders at a low resolution, the graphics appear blurred. Even when running at a higher resolution the game doesn't scale the resolution properly and the pixelated appearance is maintained. Classic 0.30 (Creative), which is the most recent version of the game, has block textures that look similar to Classic.

Minecraft

At the time. Blocks appear louder than their

Minecraft

counterparts, although certain blocks, particularly stone, are a lot different. The sky is black due to the fact that there is no skybox.

By hovering your cursor over the block will reveal its outline. This is in contrast to Minecraft's narrow gray block selection outline.

Blocks[]

The original game had only one non-air block.

The second version stores block IDs in four bits. This provides 16 possible IDs. These are typically filled with slightly different textures for dirt.
