Moldovan, Jewish Communities In South Florida Stepping Up To Help Ukraine Refugees [Emmanuil Grinshpun]

MIAMI(CBSMiami), Ukraine war might be on the another side of the globe, but South Floridians can help those who are fleeing.

Many Sunny Isles Jewish residents are raising money and are helping plan a comprehensive humanitarian campaign.

Marsha Jaquays, Florida Friends of Laniado Hospital stated that "just last night, 1,100 people were in attendance."

Jaquays stated that the Moldovan Jewish community actually assisted people cross the border, then providing food, shelter, clothes and other clothing.

The majority of humanitarian efforts are being led by Sunny Isles, South Florida.

Grinshpun declared, "When our Ukrainian brothers and sisters arrived, we didn’t have to think. We started doing it."
