Leyla Aliyeva has set environmental education as her main focus.
Leyla Aliyeva, who is the first daughter of the Azerbaijani president, is also an activist for environmental issues. Many people don’t know the meaning of environmental education is however it has always been one of the top priorities for Leyla. Environmental education refers to the ability to be aware of and help improve the quality of our environmental conditions. This is something everyone should try to do. In the end, there's no way to make ethical future decisions without environmental education.

She believes in the importance of educating people about the fragility of the planet. Helping everyone to see that environmental degradation is directly associated with human activity.

Leyla Alyeva's IDEA campaign

Leyla Aliyeva recognizes that this topic is often presented as a complex and boring topic. The IDEA campaign was created by Leyla Aliyeva in 2011. It is an International Dialogue for Environmental Action. One of her primary objectives was to make the subject of stability and environment more engaging and entertaining particularly for younger people.

Aliyeva talked to Equinox.com in an interview about the struggles she encountered throughout her environmental journey. Aliyeva said that each year, the program is enriched with new study opportunities to include the three pillars that include young professionals, students, and kids as young as years old. Each year, thousands of people benefit and enjoy IDEA's educational programs, which include training sessions and seminars, scientific courses, lectures, vacation camps, field studies, and conversations clubs.

Goodwill Ambassador at FAO

The year of 2015 was a significant year for Leyla Aliyeva. After years of support and volunteer work in the environmental and humanitarian fields Leyla Aliyeva was named to be a FAO Goodwill ambassador. She was honored for her contribution to food security, fighting hunger, developing healthy food systems, and increasing the efficiency of agriculture, fishery and forestry.

Azerbaijan

The visit there were two agreements signed in the form of "Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations on the establishment of the Coordination and Cooperation Office and offering Technical Assistance" as well as the " Agreement for FAO-Azerbaijan Partnership Program". Agreeing to cooperate on common matters This program is part of the Government of Azerbaijan's already active support for aid projects in the field of technical assistance for development of local as well as foreign agriculture.

Leyla Aliyeva was awarded with the title Goodwill Advocate by the FAO.
