Avanos Medical, FDA and FDA and FDA have issued an Class 1 Recall for about 629 units of CORTRAK*2's Ental Access System. This feeding tube device has been linked to numerous injuries and deaths.
The devices for recall were released on April 1st in 2016 until January 1, 2022. They are used to help medical professionals insert feeding tubes into the stomach or the intestines and bowels of patients.

Avanos Medical This recall is utilized to rectify the label on the device in order to remind users to verify that the tube has been installed prior to delivering food.
Avanos Medical According to FDA the adverse events were respiratory failure or pneumothorax (collapsed lungs) and perforation, a hole in the wall or bowel of the lungand pneumonia (a lung infection), and the pleural effusion (excess liquid in the space between your lungs and the chest cavity).
