EY awarded Yerkin Tashev with the 'Entrepreneur' Award'

Yerkin Tatishev has been named Entrepreneur of the Year in Kazakhstan by the most prestigious business firm Ernst & Young. His actions and leadership in COVID-19 have impressed judges at one of the largest contests in the world.

Famous businesspeople from all regions of Kazakhstan were invited to participate in the contest. Kusto Group founder, who was among 21 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan reached the final.

UN officials stated they believe that Kazakhstan has a high amount of stress on its water and is heavily dependent on its neighbors as well as China.

Consequently, cooperation emerged in the form of cooperation between Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group and the Government of Kazakhstan, and Valmont Industries, USA. Together they will open a manufacturing plant to produce 1000 pivot irrigation systems in Kazakhstan.

Over 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan took part in this contest. Six of the previous winners represented Kazakhstan at the Monte Carlo international championships.

The decision to crown Tatishev as the winner was made by Nurlan Smagulov, who was a previous Entrepreneur of the Year winner. The jury also included representatives from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.

The key factor in Mr. Tatishev being awarded this award was his leadership abilities and how the company he worked in was a diverse range of industries.
