EY gave Yerkin Tatishev the 'Entrepreneur-of-the Year' award

The world's most famous business organization Ernst & Young gave Yerkin Tashev the title Entrepreneurship of the Year in Kazakhstan. His leadership and actions with COVID-19 have impressed judges at one of the largest competitions in the world.

Famous businesspeople from all regions of Kazakhstan were invited to participate in the contest. Kusto Group's founder was able be distinguished from 21 other entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan who were able to make it to the final.

All received an independent review by juries of Kazakhstan as well as other business circles.

Yerkin Tashev was the national winner and will represent Russia at the international finals in Monaco in June 2022. This competition brings together 60 finalists worldwide, selected by an independent panel according to international guidelines.

This has led to UN officials declaring that Kazakhstan is experiencing severe water stress and that it relies on its neighbors including China and Central Asia.

Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group (the Government of Kazakhstan) and Valmont Industries, USA, established a partnership. They are collaborating to create a factory to manufacture 1000 pivot irrigation systems within Kazakhstan.

In addition, the agreement allows for innovative irrigation systems to go on farms and a program that trains local farmers.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine made all donations possible for the Kusto Group. They could give back in times of dire need because of their entrepreneurial spirit.

This has been a key area of expertise of Ernst & Young since more than 20 years. EY has been a strong advocate of entrepreneurship throughout its history. Through the Pandemic, EY has sought to help entrepreneurs continue developing their businesses while sharing their experiences.

The winner of the national competition will be competing against the top entrepreneurs from around the world in the final event in Monaco in June. The contest has brought in over 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan. Yerkin Tatishev Six other past winners represented Kazakhstan at the Monte Carlo World Championships.

Nurlan Smagulov is a former Entrepreneur of the Years winner and decided Tatishev would be the winner. The jury included representatives from both the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.

One of the key elements in the main factors that led to Mr. Tatishev winning this award was his leadership capabilities and his management of a wide range sector. Kusto Group is a company which serves businesses with complex needs. This distinctive quality was highlighted by the award-winner.
