Are you curious to know what's coming in the Minecraft beta? The latest features are usually added to Minecraft beta seasons over the course of an entire calendar year. The Minecraft 1.18 update - Caves and Cliffs adds many new blocks, mobs, and biomes to the game. There are also new features for the Minecraft warden. However, there's a ton of new features to discover.



Sound good? Fantastic, but actually signing up for a snapshot beta is not easy unless you are aware of where to go and what you'll need to do. There's also the added wrinkle of two separate versions on PC and Mac, so you'll need the right set of instructions for the version of Minecraft you are running.

After reading the disclaimer, confirm that you are aware of the terms and conditions, and you'll download the beta version of Minecraft via the Microsoft Store. After that, click to open the downloaded Minecraft version and start a new Minecraft game. You'll know that you've got the correct version if your title screen reads beta. To check out the new features scroll down until you enable Caves and Cliffs option in the world options.



It is highly recommended that you create a new world with every snapshot. This is so that you can discover any new biomes in the world generation such as the Minecraft Lush Caves.





Minecraft Java edition beta version

There's a little bit more that's in the current Java snapshot version, because it's the only one at moment that has all the mountain biomes that have been added to.




Follow these steps to enter the Minecraft beta version for Java Edition on your PC:




Install the Minecraft Java client by login to your account and downloading it. Then, open the client and click Minecraft. Then, go to the Installs tab. Make sure that the option 'Snapshots' is checked. The latest snapshot version will be displayed in the list. - Click Play while hovering over the snapshot to run it.
