How do you make an Iron Golem in Minecraft and what they're For

Create an Minecraft Iron Golem to defend the inhabitants of a village from any threats. These guards with a mean appearance are the perfect force to protect any structures and villagers from hostile mobs in Minecraft (opens in a new tab), like zombies and Skeletons, or even raids by villagers. Iron Golems, unlike most other mobs in Minecraft are crafted. MINECRAFT GAMES However, they also naturally spawn in villages. Here's how to create them and how they work.

How to make an Iron Golem from Minecraft

You don't require an Crafting Table to make an Minecraft Iron Golem. Instead, you will be required to place blocks in a particular formation.

Four Iron Blocks are required to make an Iron Golem. Each Iron Block contains nine Iron Ingots and one Pumpkin. In Java Edition, the pumpkin must be carved in a Carved Pumpkin or Jack O'Ltern or a regular pumpkin. In Bedrock Edition, you can use a regular pumpkin. Put the Iron Blocks in a T-shape and then put the Pumpkin on top and in the middle, so that it appears to be a strange iron scarecrow. Use the above picture for inspiration!

As as long as there aren't connecting blocks on either side (other than the floor it's stood on obviously), placing the Pumpkin last should cause an Iron Golem to spawn. If you have the right materials you're able to do this as many times as you want to build your own personal army.

What Iron Golems in Minecraft do

You can better safeguard yourself by using Minecraft Netherite armor

Iron Golems are solemnly sworn by God to protect villagers and players as long as you don't harm them. They're considered neutral mobs so, unlike animals like pigs, cows and other similar animals iron Golems will let you be but will attack you if you attempt to attack them.

An Iron Golem will slowly roam the village, patrolling it when it is created within the village. If it's not in an area it will slowly move towards the nearest one, likely fighting any hostile mobs on the way. If an Iron Golem takes damage, the player can heal it applying an Iron Ingot on it.

Iron Golems can be a great option if you have enough Iron and an entire village to protect. Unfortunately, you cannot name them like you can normal pets though! You might want to know how to manage the fox in Minecraft If you'd like to have an animal companion.

I will write every "how-to" possible for any game. If I'm not engrossed in games to write guides about you'll find me whirling around the track in F1 or flinging balls at my phone in Pokemon Go, pretending to know what I'm doing in Football Manager, or clicking on heads in Valorant.
