Week 40: Bath

It wasn't the most ideal start to the week. On Monday morning, we found a leak in the bath. Water was trickling down through the ceiling into the server cabinet, which houses the boiler, fusebox and my rack. The router was dead and fizzing however we didn't short the electrics. Minecraft servers It could have been much worse. The shower handset was in its holster, and set to its lowest setting to pour water into the room below, was the culprit.

- I had a dentist appointment that morning at 9am, so the added stress was not a good idea! I was a little flustered as I contemplated my sloppy home under the light of the bright lights, but it was all good.

- That evening the worry was that there was water pooled in the bath, so I tried to get rid of the side panel by cutting away the sealant using a Stanley knife. It was a waste time as I discovered that our bathroom was tiled in and its underneath blocked off. Great.

My dad came to the bath to seal it up and assure us that it would function fine. We'll have to dry the cabinet and paint the ceiling or walls.

In preparation for their Jubilee celebration The boys have been learning about the Queen at school. The school decorated the playground with blue, white and red bunting and the entire school sat down for a Jubilee tea celebration. They can each say how old they are and also other royal facts they've learned.

We purchased an Nintendo Switch. H had been wanting one for a long time but it wasn't at the right moment. He was too young. They were out of inventory. The price was often increased and the price was often inflated. But with an John Lewis offer we purchased the new OLED version, as well as additional Joy-Cons, as well as three games: Minecraft, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario 3D World (with Bowser's Fury). It's as well-designed as I'd expect and the games are as great as I expected from Nintendo.

We stated that this would be the family Switch to ensure that his younger brother and dad (and dad!) could play. could play, but he couldn't claim the box as his. When we opened the box, and he jumped around the living room with the biggest smile on his face. I was ecstatic to play with it, but that was nothing compared to the happiness it brought him.
