How do you train the Ranged skill in RuneScape 3

Welcome to my brand-new 1-99/120 Ranged Guide for RS3! This guide will provide a variety of ways of achieving max level in Ranged. There are several methods to achieve this:



AFK - Fast - Profitable



You can choose one or the other based on your availability for time and how much money you have and how much you can afford. It can be costly and take a long time to reach 99, however, it can be swift and profitable as other skills. It is also possible to learn Constitution simultaneously, or you can decide to learn Defence by using these techniques too!

Equipment

Before you can begin your Ranged training, you must ensure you have the proper equipment! A better bow and more defensive gear will improve kill speed which will allow you to progress quicker. The table below gives the most effective equipment for each level.



Note also that monsters are weak to specific combat styles, so sometimes we should use different styles of weapon (crossbow/bow/throwing knives) so we should utilize this to speed up training times.

Quick Method: The Most Fast Way to Max

This section will show you how to get 99, 120, or 200M Ranged. Be aware that these are the standard methods, and chinchompas are faster and slayer is more profitable it is a mixture of both.






Levels 1-20


Levels 1-20 can be trained with chickens that are found on the eastern part of Lumbridge with 25 exp for each kill. For a beginner, I'd suggest grabbing the feathers as each is worth 50gp and could quickly increase when you don't have lots of money initially.

Levels 20-40


For this you should train at Chaos druids located in Taverley Dungeon. You can get level 40 quickly by gaining 50 exp per. They aren't able to take bows so you should use a bow. also drop herbs frequently so collect for money or clean to earn herblore exp.






Levels 40-50


At level 40, you can begin your training with pyrefiends found in the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon. Safe place for private runescape servers They provide 125 slayer points per level, however they require an slayer of level 30. Baby blue dragons are an excellent alternative if you don't have the 30 slayer level. They can be a nice addition to the next levels. Be aware that you'll require an antifire potion as well!






Levels 50-70


Blue dragons can be trained in the Taverley Dungon after level 50 for 263 exp. They also have fantastic drops in dragon bones and blue dragonhide. To enter the dungeon, you will require a dusty key.



Abyssal demons are a very good option for those with 85 slayers, and they also drop a large amount of red charms.






Levels 70-99


After reaching level 70, you can continue all the way to your goal in a variety of ways. In my opinion the most effective method is to train with waterfins. They can summon exp in the future by granting 934 exp per kill.



There are a variety of ways to earn money by teaching any ability.





Profitable Methods: Rorarii or Slayer

The best method to gain more experience in the range while making profit is, in my opinion , killing Rorarii in the Ascension dungeon. Rorarii have a high exp rate. This is why they are my preferred choice. They drop ascension keysstones at a rate between 10 and 35 per hour. Prices range from 150K to 350K each. This could yield a substantial profit. The player can keep track of all super restores and utilize soulsplit to sustain them for the time they require.



Another classic method of making money through ranged is Slayer. While it may sometimes be much more efficient to use different combat styles for Slayer, in reality, it is not. Slayer task, a large number of tasks use ranged, and educating all styles of combat in unison while learning Slayer is a very efficient method of playing.





AFK Method: Chinchompas

It is a fascinating way to get a high-ranged level. It involves using red chinchompas in order to reach the depths of the abyss. As you might know they can attack all enemies in a 3x3 area around where they land. Using a bonecrusher and super restore or soulsplit potions will provide more than enough healing.



This means acquiring the most effective armour available and heading to the abyss for more tranquil worlds. To get there be aware. You'll need to complete an abyss miniquest, if you have not been there before. Once you are inside, stand in a place that has a a higher than average number of monsters and begin attacking. They will be aggressive for around 5 minutes until you should relocate to a different area and return. This could provide up to 500K of range per hour. However, it is quite expensive to purchase Chinchampas.
