Overview

MultiMC is an alternative launcher for Minecraft. It lets you run multiple, cleanly separated instances of Minecraft (each with their own mods, resource packs, saves and so on) and helps you manage them and the associated options through a simple and powerful interface.

There are no surprises MultiMC is a reliable software that MultiMC aims to stay predictable and do what you tell it to do. - Fine control over Java settings and runtimes. Each instance has its own set of settings overrides that you can activate in addition to the global settings. - MultiMC game logs come with extra information that helps to diagnose issues. They are color-coded. Support for older versions being run in the original way they were released. - Kill Minecraft easily in the event that it crashes or freezes. MultiMC is very lightweight, so it can run in the background. It also keeps an eye on the game even when the system has less memory. - Easy installation of common mod loaders - Forge, Fabric and LiteLoader (and likely to add more in the near future). Minecraft world and resource/texture pack management. Import and export Minecraft instances to share with anyone. Import modpacks imported from various platforms like Modrinth and CurseForge (via import from FTB app), Technic, ATLauncher and FTB legacy. The more you can drink, the better.

Download & Install

Choose the download for your operating system below, extract the archive into a new folder and run it. If you're running Linux, remember to make it executable before you try to run it.

MultiMC requires Qt5 to be installed on linux. If you don't have it, you might need to install the following programs according to the the distribution:



- Arch: qt5-base - OpenSuse: libqt5-qtbase - CentOS/Fedora/RHEL: qt5-qtbase - Ubuntu/Debian: libqt5core5a libqt5network5 libqt5gui5

Source Code

MultiMC is based on the code that is hosted on GitHub. The source code is not made available to facilitate collaboration. The only differences between binary distribution and code is the branding and API keys required for the launcher's functionality, and packaging-related changes.
