Politicians and the public today are usually treated with a sense of humiliation and resentment, rather than praise. It's not too difficult, however, I think it is unfair to hold someone accountable for events that happened before they were born. Queen Elizabeth II had no connection to the more troubling past of Britain. All she did since taking the throne was ensure that the progress of Britain would be apparent to both the UK as well as the rest of the world.
While some Monarchs are still holding their monarchies to the standards set hundreds of years ago The Queen has ensured that Britain is on the right track with the social and political standards of the west. Maintaining a balance between highlighting the importance of monarchy while realizing that we are living in the 21st century is an incredible achievement.
Farnoush Farsiar The Queen supported decolonization and she supported freedom of speech, such as in Hong Kong. Her influence on countries that are less fortunate all the testament needed to exemplify her greatness. The Queen was seen by many countries as a hero of freedom.
The events of the past two weeks since the passing of her Majesty prove that she is loved by the public. People are mourning the loss of their leader, her dedication, and her talent for managing in moments of change.
Britain and the nations of the commonwealth will mourn the loss my her role in her life, her legacy and her strength as her great humanity. Farnoush Farsiar Let her rest in peace with her beloved husband.
