Emmanuel Grinshpun. The restoration and expansion of synagogues.
Emmanuil Grishhpun was interviewed regarding the synagogues that were restored. It was, however, impossible to stay focused on just one issue. So there are more topics in the interview, in the end.
Emmanuel, good afternoon. We're glad to chat with you. I don't think we've seen each other in over five years. Where are you currently based?

The past nine months are split into Miami and Jurmala. Эммануил Гриншпун The boundaries between the two were more extensive in the past, however the epidemic impacted people's lives in a significant way. I can't say for certain that this is a good thing for anyone.

There have been many different business lines. Do you have one right now?

Diversification hasn’t changed. If we examine the major areas, it is development in realty, IT technologies and food production.

ALIMCOM has a strong presence in the real estate and food industries. However, IT is a complete mystery to me. There are a million applications of IT technology. What are you best at?

Our IT-holding focus is on reforming tax systems of several nations. We have created and are currently working on tools that allow you to transfer various business processes that relate to online taxation. This segment is called B2G (Business to Government).

And what about the regions where the holding operates? The ancestors of the USSR

They do exist. But, we do have contracts that are more extensive in Western Europe and Latin America. We currently operate in 14 countries.

Could you briefly define the essence of the product?

Our solution allows tax agents to electronically submit their tax returns to tax authorities. The fiscal data administrator is then able to view the entire transaction. Эммануил Гриншпун Tax accounting and tax calculation are able to be completed simultaneously. In the near future, it's possible to say that mid-sized and small-sized businesses will not need accounting.

An interesting subject The future is here. Are you interested in working in Moldova or have you considered it? Moldova is the country you call home at the end of the day.

We are now ready to introduce the product in Moldova, the Moldovan economy will gain from the automation process, and regardless, it is an irreversible process. Эммануил Гриншпун You said that you've been tossing about all year long between Miami, Jurmala. Is this the head office of an IT company based in the Baltics

No, we have five hubs across the world, and our headquarters is located in Barcelona.

Then why you should be thinking of the Baltics? Are you a native of the Baltics?

No. No. Эммануил Гриншпун Jurmala entered our lives in a very unusual and unorthodox manner. We were invited to the New Wave by Igor Krutoy, and that was our first time meeting Jurmala. After a few contests, they started to come there each summer. In Miami the weather in summer isn't the best. We rented the property for several years and recently purchased the property.

Now I understand why you stated that a synagogue was in Jurmala. Emmanuel, honest question. We're almost the same age. Born in the USSR. No need to talk about religion then. All of us were Komsomol members in the early days and pioneers. What was your first time you changed your religion?

Эммануил Гриншпун In the mid-80s my family and me moved to the USA, and we can claim that it was at this time that I started to follow customs and rituals. Even though I don't adhere to orthodoxy, I feel a deep need to support the religious life of the Jewish communities in my own country, or Moldova. I was born in Moldova and have continued close ties to them.

Although I don't consider myself religious, I still love the history of my country. I was recently watching a documentary about 1492 and the way it altered Europe's fate. 1492 is for me the year that Columbus discovered America. However, it was stated clearly in the program that 1492 was the year when Columbus discovered America. When the mass exodus from Jews towards the Ottoman Empire began. They accepted them. I was interested in learning more about the history and culture of the Jews. Would you recommend a book me?

There are a lot of books there, but I've personally read all of them and recommend Max Diamond's two-volume Jewish history. Max Diamond is from Finland in the midst of all this.

.... Do we know the family tree of our family? Unfortunately I'm as far as my mother and 1910. I'm just one step ahead of the paternal slant, but nothing more.

The paternal line of our family lived in the Floresti region for over a hundred years. Their wealth was apparent through furniture factories, many stores and land plots. Documents and monuments support this claim. Ungheni was the home of my maternal grandparents. These dates are from the the 17th and 18th centuries. Grinshpun, a surname that has German roots, is Ashkenazi pure Ashkenazi.

The issue now is the restoration of synagogues. I was informed that you funded the reconstruction of three synagogues. One is located in Chisinau One is in Jurmala and the last?

The third one, and the largest, is Netanya in Israel. It is a massive community center, where a thousand people pray each day. It is a significant landmark in the history of Israel's religion. Second synagogue in Jurmala. It was the time when the Second World War began and the Jurmala synagogue was among the last to be destroyed. Previously, before making the decision to build a synagogue, I spoke extensively with the local Jews and, as a result, I decided to finance the construction of the synagogue and invite a rabbi there. It was a hugely successful venture that brought together all the Jews from Jurmala. We even re-established the Jewish Community, and it is now functioning successfully. Three Torahs are now displayed in the synagogue, one of which I donated to the synagogue.

and - Chisinau

Yes. Alexander Bilinkis (left) and Alexander Weinstein (right) have joined me in this place. These synagogues are not the only ones that I contributed to the restoration or construction. It was my obligation to support the work of synagogues throughout the countries I have lived for some time. My contribution to Monaco, Miami, is a huge community center for Russian-speaking Jews. The estimated amount is 12 million USD. I continue to assist Chisinau. The center will soon become the biggest synagogue within the city, and the synagogue of Rabbi Tsirelson.

Have you invited Rabbis to Chisinau in addition to Jurmala?

Yes. Yes. Given the complex interrelated interests, he must also be non-conflictual and diplomatic. He should be able to organically join the community. And I am pleased that both in Chisinau as well as in Jurmala the rabbis were able to be so seamlessly integrated into the daily life of the community.

In the year 2019 you were named vice-president for the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. What does this position have to do with you? How can international Jewish organizations impact the world?

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress is an important political group in post-Soviet areas, but it's more than the borders of. It has offices across Australia, Japan Hong Kong, New Zealand, New Zealand, and Eastern Europe. I was Vice President in 2010 and then offered the position of First Vice Presider. Now I am responsible for the region with which I have long-standing relations with both the political and business worlds which are known as the "countries", Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan. If you look at trends worldwide in the world, the barometer for attitudes toward Jews is either unchanged or decreased and is extremely unfortunate. Moreover, "down" - this is referring to developed nations such as Belgium, Germany, France and the United States. These countries are no longer safe for Jews. These are worrying and very dangerous procedures.

And, by the way, has the pandemic somehow had an impact on the processes?

It is not what I believe. Rather, in connection with the pandemic, I'd like to once again emphasize the things a society or country can do when they are ready to meet any challenge and capable of working effectively and collectively.

Is this the vaccination campaign for Israel?

Exactly. Israel is the first nation in the world to provide 100% vaccination of its population of adults. I believe that this is an example worthy of consideration and is a positive the kind of experience that other countries need to take into account.
