An in-depth look at Trump SoHo's Tevfik Arif Bayrock Group.
Bayrock Group was created in 2001 by Tevfik Arif who was a Turkish Kazakhstanstani Businessman. The initial genesis of Bayrock Group took place in another country.

As a joint venture, Arif acquired the Akytyubinsk Chromium Chemicals Plant of Kazakhstan (ACCP) along with his brother. Tevfik Arif's businesses were high-end real estate development as well as exports of food and imports. Through his many businesses, Tevfik Arif forged many relationships around the globe.

He relocated to Turkey in 1993 and helped in the development of the world-renowned all-inclusive hotels of Turkey. Prior to moving to his next venture, He opened Antalya's Labada Hotel before heading across the Atlantic.

The foundation of Bayrock Group
In the year 2001, Tevfik Arif moved to the United States to expand his business and to be closer to his American family. Bayrock Group was a New York City real estate development company.

Despite Arif's efforts in developing his network and knowledge of the market in his area, many of Bayrock's early initiatives were small.

He ultimately decided to focus on Manhattan's famous real estate market. Arif was a successful investor and entrepreneur in business, in spite of the city's intimidating real property market.

Bayrock Group's new headquarters are located in Trump Tower in Manhattan.

Bayrock Group began by executing small-to medium-sized projects throughout New York. Loehmann Brooklyn's Seaport Plaza, was revamped by the company.

After the Bayrock Group's success, Tevfik Arif was driven to be more ambitious. He wanted to work on more significant projects, and which is why he changed the company's strategy.

The Bayrock Group already worked with the Sapir Organization to complete another project in Manhattan's SoHo Quarter along Spring Street.

Tevfik Arif's Bayrock Group invests millions in the United States
Due to the success at Trump SoHo, Bayrock Group was able to collaborate with the Trump Organization on other luxury real estate projects.

They wanted similar buildings to Trump SoHo, Arizona and Florida under the Trump name.

Due to the economic crisis that seriously affected American real estate during 2008, the real estate projects located in Arizona and Florida were never constructed.

After the U.S. market changed, Bayrock Group founder Tevfik Arif pursued different projects in Europe as well as Central Asia.

Over $2.5 million was invested in real estate assets by Bayrock Group while it was operating in the United States.

Bayrock Group is not currently involved in any real estate development in the United States.

Tevfik has been laid off from the majority of his day-to-day tasks at Bayrock Group. However, he remains an expert and respected advisor to the
