Avanos Medical, FDA and FDA and FDA have issued a Class 1 Recall for about 629 units of CORTRAK*2's Ental Access System. This feeding tube device has been associated with numerous deaths and injuries.
The recalled devices were distributed between April 1st, 2016 and January 1, 2022. Avanos Medical These devices can be utilized by health professionals to insert feeding tubes in the stomach or the intestines.

The recall is used to change the label on the device to remind users to check that the tube has been properly placed prior to delivering food.
