Avanos Medical, FDA and Avanos Medical, FDA and the FDA have issued an Class 1 Recall for about 629 units of the CORTRAK*2 Ental Access System. Cortrak 2 eternal access system This feeding tube-placement device has been linked to numerous injuries and deaths.

Avanos Medical feeding tube The incorrect placement of the nasogastric tube and Nasoenteric tubes has been the source of 53 deaths and 60 injuries since the year 2015.
Avanos Medical feeding tube The recall is used to update the label of the device to inform users to ensure that the tube is correctly placed prior to feeding.
