Treat other Members of the Community with Respect

Your use of Minecraft is governed by the Microsoft Services Agreement ("MSA"). While the Code of Conduct section of the Microsoft Services Agreement applies to all Microsoft products as well as the Xbox Community Standards, as the Minecraft franchise continues to expand and introduce new Minecraft titles. The Minecraft franchise is introducing new features and new ways to interact with others which require an additional level of explanation. We have created the following Community Standards to help us to achieve this goal. Consider these standards a guide for how the Minecraft community should interact with one another and the game to keep our community a positive and safe environment for all.



We want players to have an enjoyable, inclusive, and enjoyable gaming experience any of our games. We want to make sure that players are able to adhere to the Community Standards when they play any of our Minecraft franchise games.



Community Standards



These handy Community Standards cover gameplay with Mojang-provided online service. This includes features such as Featured Servers for Bedrock Engine platforms and Realms. On top of these the individual sites and titles might have additional rules specific to them - so make sure to take a look at them, too.



Respect the other members of the community. This is the core of everything we consider. When you voice your opinion be sure to do it politely and respectfully.



Be aware of the experiences of others when using chat functions in games or on websites. This includes avoiding excessive posting or spamming. Also, all-caps is often considered to be yelling! A person who is shouting at you is not always the most pleasant thing to do.



Our friendly moderators are available to help you if you are having a disagreement with another player or had an unpleasant encounter. Contact them or report the player using the tools within the game. No matter what the circumstance, don't "name and shame" other members of the community publicly since this is considered harassment.

You should think twice before you publish any information. Don't publish personal information (phone numbers email addresses, passwords, passwords accounts, account details, physical addresses first and last names, etc.) about yourself or other people.



o It is not permitted to promote illegal activities.



o Encourage positive and encouraging conversation but not demeaning and insulting. It's a given, but don't ever create content or posts for the aim to start a war or to provoke an unfavourable response.



Minecraft has an absolute no-tolerance policy against hate speech, bullying and harassing other users.



o Never divulge your account information. We won't ask you for your password, so don't give it.



Modifications in Minecraft is not allowed in the base Minecraft game.

How do I submit an example study



Any player that meets the following criteria can submit an appeal:



There is an active enforcement action. The enforcement is more than 24 hours long. The enforcement was issued within the last 12 months.
