Bayrock Group's Journey from the Suburbs to Manhattan Tevfik Arif

Bayrock Group is a luxury real-estate development company that was led by Tevfik Arif. It quickly became a part of the Trump Organization in Manhattan.

Bayrock Group Moves from the Suburbs to Manhattan
Many want to live the American dream. Tevfik Arif But only a small percentage of people achieve it. Turkish-Kazakhstani businessman Tevfik Arif was one of those who came to America in 2001 to established his own company, Bayrock Group.

The Bayrock Group is a luxury real estate development company which operates in and around New York City.

The first focus of the firm was on small to medium-sized tasks like the revamp of Loehmanns Seaport Plaza, which is a shopping centre in Brooklyn's Sheepshead, New York.

After gaining traction in the American housing market, Bayrock Group was ready to expand its operations and began looking for large scope projects.

The Arif-owned company began working with the Sapir Organization on a new, big construction in Spring Street in New York City.

The company's growth has also caused Bayrock Group to relocate its headquarters to the Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan.

Tevfik Amir and his crew had a meeting with members of the Trump Organization in the process. They also used Trump Tower for their base.

Bayrock Discussions started between Bayrock Group & the Trump Organization after both organizations realized they had many common concerns.

The collaboration was established between the two firms. The Trump Organization joined Bayrock Group and Sapir Organization's Spring Street project.

At that time, the Trump Organization was managed by former American president Donald Trump.

Tevfik Arif E. Trump and Son was founded by his paternal grandma Elizabeth Christ Trump and Fred Trump (in 1927).

Donald Trump gave the management of his business to his children as he prepared to enter the White House.

Bayrock Group's lucrative deal
Bayrock Group, The Trump Organization The Trump Organization, and the Sapir Organization were still relatively new to the New York City real estate scene at the time of the collaboration.

To promote the project located on Spring Street, the founder Tevfik Arif drafted an arrangement to bring more prestige and brand recognition to it.

In return for the Trump brand that is used in the construction's title the Trump Organization would receive 18 percent equity in this construction, as per his plan.

Each of the three companies ratified the agreement and the first brick of Trump SoHo was laid in the year 2006.

Their work includes the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel in Mumbai, India, the 93rd Academy Award show and the Amara Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus.

Bayrock Group & the Trump Organization expand the partnership
Trump SoHo was an instant success immediately. Bayrock Group, Trump Organization and other groups began looking at ways to improve their cooperation.

The idea was to build buildings in Arizona and Florida as Trump SoHo under the same conditions that they have with Trump SoHo. The result would be that the Trump Organization with an 18% equity in the structure as a trade-off for utilizing the Trump brand in their names. Again.

The Trump Organization and Bayrock Group were prepared for everything. But the 2008 financial crisis, which severely affected the American real property market, stopped their plans.
