Admincraft: Minecraft Server Talk for Serious Admins and Developers

Hi, I'm having an issue I think with hackers. I'm scared.

I was playing on a server called spigot that I run with my friends, we were 2 people online chilling and someone random entered and I asked who it was and he immediately quit the server, then y got log out with a text that said that I was logged into the server and was unsuccessful in my attempt to log in. I realized that something was not right and went to my puffer panel , where I found my server. I switched it off. I could see on the console that I was logged in once more and another user was also logged in so I gave him the op.

I'm still learning about server management because I only run survival servers with my friends and I'm not sure what to do. What are the things I can do to avoid another episode like this? What should I do? I've changed my Microsoft password however I'm not sure how that will help.

Now anyone with an idea can communicate it. Create standout content quickly from thousands of beautiful templates with the all-new Adobe Express.

How do you stay active and participate on the server if you're also in charge of adminning?

The title says it all The question is: How can you keep motivated/interested to play on servers you manage when you must also maintain the configuration and fix issues, resolve disputes, etc. ?

Longer version:

I set up my first server for my community around 7 months ago. Since then, we've had three servers and recently I made the move from multiverse to a new network set up in order to spread the load and run things more efficiently. I find myself playing in the hardcore world I created (still on the network, so I can chat and chat, but not in our main survival servers) more than I do on the survival server.

One of my mods commented that servers go down when the owner is no active. Since she said it this has caused me to feel anxious. I've noticed that the more I play, I get more from other players and vice versa. This could be due to the fact that I am a streamer so people are part of the community that supports the stream/engaging me and my content, but I'm still struggling.

The only time I play is when I make something different or create new features and I'm currently working on an RPG/MMO-style server that includes custom mobs dungeons, quests n all that, but it just feels like joining existing servers is a matter of asking questions and fixing problems for people, not actually having fun.

Any suggestions are would be appreciated) Really struggling here.

Home Minecraft modded server

Hi.

I'm planning on running an upgraded Minecraft server from home. There's nothing publicly accessible, just my girlfriend and some friends. I have 6-7 computers in total. The processor seems to be gone from my old computer. It's an old socket 1150 and 16 GB of ddr3 RAM. I would recommend buying an the i5 4690 processor because it offers the most efficient for the money I can buy. Is it able to run newer version servers like, for instance, 1.16.5 forge server with 50 - 120 mods, or even vanilla's latest version server? (Not simultaneously)

We appreciate your assistance.

Luckperms 1.16.5 forge

If not is there a Luckperms Version available for 1.16.5 Forge?
