Pastor of faith, healer of the sick and writer, Chris Oyakhilome is popular with his followers as Pastor Chris. He is also the president of LoveWorld Incorporated. Also known as Christ Embassy. It is located in Lagos. His unique interpretation of God's Word has enthralled millions across the world.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on the 7th of December th, 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a family of faith, surrounded by loving and loving parents. He is the oldest son of Elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina the mother of the Oyakhilome family, who imprinted her divine grace upon her son from an early age.

His brother, Reverend Ken is the renowned Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston, Texas Church and an active member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), which is home to several top gospel artists in the world.


Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters: Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon is following her father's example of sharing God's Word with the world. As well as being known by CSO her name, she is an accomplished, award-winning gospel musician and is a member of LoveWorld Music and Arts.


Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education at Edo College. After a scholarship was awarded to study architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) and he was awarded an BSc degree in Architecture, and an honorary Doctor of Science. He has an honorary divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. He was at Ambrose Ali University when he received his call from God to become a minister and serving the Lord.

When he was still at university, The Man of God created what would become one of the largest churches around the world. He started an informal prayer group called "Youth for Christ" which would later become the most well-known organisation of its type on campus. This would also serve as the foundation for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated which has millions of followers across the world.

Under the direction of Pastor Chris, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome established the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation Internet (COFI) which is an international non-profit organization. Its purpose is to aid the most vulnerable people and communities in certain regions and countries of poverty across the globe.

The Man of God established NGOs to deliver vital services and bring hope to the poor, needy and neglected. COFI's five partners all have the same aim: to raise living standards and enhance the quality of life in the poorest areas.

Under the auspices of COFI is COFI's InnerCity Mission (ICM) for Children The Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), as well as the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups works to improve the lives, health, and spirits of those most in need.

His charity also provides sustenance to children in need. Pastor Chris believes in the importance of solid communities through COFI, The InnerCity Mission and the development of good governance, accountable leadership and sustainable development both in Africa as well as other areas that are vulnerable in the world, according to the Sustainable Development Goals.
