Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith who was raised in a loving family and was supported by his parents. He is the elder of three sons born to elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her divine grace upon her son from a young age.

The LoveWorld ministry includes all members of the family. Chris Oyakhilome Biography Reverend Ken is his brother and the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church. He is also a part of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry, which is home several top-selling gospel artists.

Pastor Chris has two daughters, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon, who is also known by the name of CSO is a CSO member who has decided to follow in the footsteps of her father and share the gospel of God the world. She is an accomplished gospel singer who has won awards and is an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.


Pastor Chris Oyakhilome attended Edo College and was awarded the scholarship of Bendel State University to study architecture. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he received a call from God to go into the ministry and become a servant to the Lord.

The Man of God began what would later be one of the biggest church congregations in the world when he was still at a university. It began with an unassuming prayer group known as "Youth for Christ," which eventually evolved into one of the most well-known organizations of its type on campus. It also served as the basis for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers around the world.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris's homeland of Nigeria and also South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The church has two healing schools, which are based in South Africa.
