The launcher was rewritten in 2020 to utilize primarily a fake Java Native Interface to communicate with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. The 32bit Launcher was portable to arm64 and x86_64 shortly after it was made available on the Google Play Store.

AppImageP
You can download prebuilt AppImage binary's that run on Linux x86_64 and x86. After downloading simply open terminal, chmod +x Minecraft_Bedrock_Launcher-x86_64.0.0.661.AppImage and run it. You should be able run it by double-clicking using one of the Filemanagers similar to an *.exe file on Windows. Otherwise run it from a Terminal ./Minecraft_Bedrock_Launcher-x86_64.0.0.661.AppImage
If this is your first time installing an AppImage you will require an Icon in your Startmenu
- install AppImageLauncher - run the AppImage like before - AppImageLauncher will ask you to integrate it, click yes. Now you can start and update the Launcher right from your startmenu
FlatpakP
You can also install mcpelauncher Linux via Flathub. First, install Flatpak and then run it.
If it's your first time installing a Flatpak please logout from your Computer and then sign again to find the Launcher inside your startmenu. To run it, run
macOSP
Prebuilt macOS binary's are available here. Always copy the App to a location that can be written in, otherwise the updater will not work.
