System Restore is your first line of defense. It will restore you to the condition before the problem started similar to the time machine. If it doesn't help then you can go back to the beginning. Learn more about it in the tutorial above , and then try restoring back to before this started. Do it now in case System Restore isn't enabled on C drive to enable it in the near future.



If the problem repeats or System Restore doesn't work then check which Windows Updates were installed at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Update History, uninstall them there or System Restore again, then immediately check for and block the Updates with the Hide Updates tool explained here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8280-hide-s...



Even if you've already tried the steps I give here repeat them in order:



1) Run the Store apps troubleshooter at Settings > Update and Security > Troubleshoot.



2) Check for and install updates to games in Microsoft Store app > Hub (three dots on the top right) > Updates.



3) Reset Minecraft in Windows Settings > Applications > Features and Apps > Minecraft > Advanced Option > Repair or Reset. Restart your PC and try again.



If none of those work, uninstall Minecraft from Settings above, reboot your computer then reinstall the program from MS Store Hub (three dots in the upper right corner of the Store app) > My Library.



4) The Display driver is so important here that just updating it sometimes not enough. Let's try everything to get it working correctly:



You can update the Display driver via the PC or Display adapter manufacturer's Support downloads page. This will provide you with the exact model number, HP Serial No. or Dell Service Tag - as indicated on the sticker on your PC.

You can also look for BIOS/UEFI firmwares, newer chipsets, network, sound, and other drivers by right-clicking the Start Menu.



If this doesn't give you the latest or ideal driver for what you need, compare it to the driver offered by the Intel driver update Utility here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/... or the Nvidia Update utility here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=e... or the AMD autodect utility here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/P...



Display issues can be fixed by rolling back or deinstalling the driver on the Display Device > Driver tab. Restart your computer to install the driver.



You can also try out older drivers by using Device Manager > Display device > Driver tab > Update Driver> Browse > Let Me Pick.



You'll know that you've tried everything except to Windows Update drivers.



You can adjust the resolution of your screen until it appears good. Go to Settings > System > Display.
