7 JENIS MANTRA
• Transfigurasi : mantra yang digunakan untuk mengubah benda atau objek menjadi sesuatu yang lain, sangat rumit namun juga sangat berguna. Contoh: Vera Verto, Avifors, Melofors , Snufflifors.
• Charm: Tindakan magis yang disertai dengan pelafalan (biasanya – tetapi tidak selalu ) untuk mencapai prestasi yang luar biasa dan orang-orang biasa tidak dapat melakukannya. Contoh: Banishing Charm (Depulso), Confundus Charm (Confudo), Alohomora, Hover Charm.
• Jinx: Sihir gelap kecil, mantra yang efeknya iritasi tapi lucu, menyenangkan dan memberi ketidaknyamanan kecil untuk target. Contoh:Impediment Jinx, Finger-removing Jinx, Tarantallegra, Ventus.
• Hex: Konsisten mempengaruhi objek dengan cara negatif, memiliki konotasi sihir gelap, tetapi tidak lebih dari kutukan dan memberikan ketidaknyamanan kepada target. Contoh: Mimble Wimble, Titillando, Anteoculatia, Steleus.
• Curse: Jenis terburuk sihir gelap, dimaksudkan untuk mempengaruhi target dengan cara sangat negatif. Contoh: Petrificus Totalus, Locomotor Wibbly, Cruciatus, Fiendfyre.
• Counter-spell: Penghambatan efek mantra lain. Contoh: Liberacorpus untuk Levicorpus, Vipera Evanesca untuk Serpensortia, Finite Incantatem, Finite.
• Healing-Spell: Mantra penyembuh Contoh: Anapneo, Episkey, Brackium Emendo.
