How can you get the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft for free! (Mojang News post)



This appears to be an attempt to preemptively post. There's no redeem button on the Mojang account pages at the moment. I'm guessing it will be available tomorrow after the release.

How unfortunate for their support department.



I've reached the redemption button on Microsoft's account and the billing page, but it claims to have an error. Is there a deadline to redeem?



Windows 10 is being rolled out "today"/"tomorrow" depending where you are. I would imagine that the button will be out at 12:01 Wednesday morning Sweden time.



There's no redeem button. I'm looking forward to tomorrow, though!

If you have an addon to force https, open it in ie as the link is http only.



Instructions:



Download the application.



Run it and follow the steps. Premium content for premium people will format your USB drive or disk, allowing you to install.





Open the drive you installed it on and then run the installer.





It will be installed and activated in a way that is automatic.





You can also save an ISO for later but do an in place update first so your key is activated.



I have installed the beta and it's verified to work and is completely free.



I just got it. It's amazing how optimized the game is. My PC's fans don't even bother to start up, and the CPU's almost idle all the time.



Are there any differences in gameplay?



Yes, if it's running flawlessly on mobile, you'd expect it to run pretty good on PC too:)

It was delivered just now. Singleplayer LOL: 2% CPU and 200mb #NEXTGEN There is a slight mouse delay, but the game is stunning. We would like to edit more settings, for example Mip-Mapping or AA. Textures turn mushy after a distance, and the water glare is a bit weird. Other than that I'm satisfied with the port guys.



There is a slight delay when the mouse looking around However, the overall look is fantastic.



I have noticed the same thing, mouse acceleration seems to be odd as well.



It's a sloppy port at the time. It runs on C++ so it is extremely smooth. It needs some work to cater to the PC players. As of right now it seems like a mobile game.



I'm sorry if this is an uninformed question but what do you know about it already? Did some people get Windows 10 early?
