Five Card Draw Poker is the most popular way to play poker at home. The game can be played with up to five people. The initial ante and two additional rounds of betting are required for five card draw. Each player receives five cards face-down and may replace or discard any number of them during the initial wagering round.

The dealer will place a final card face-up on the table after the third round. This is known as the river card. The final round of betting is the same as before.

Omaha Hi players attempt to make the best five card hand possible using four personal cards as well as five community cards. Each hand must contain at least two personal cards and three community card. Each player is dealt four cards and a round of betting takes place.
